Home Owners Association

Do you own property in Amwaj Islands?

Protect your investment and your home by becoming active in the Amwaj Islands Central Owners Association (AICOA).

AICOA is a legal body that will be formed of individual villas and house owners, Joint Property Buildings Owners Association (OA) and the main associations within Amwaj Islands -that share the same common areas. There are two types of OAs recognized and authorized in Amwaj Islands as per the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) of the Kingdom Bahrain.

Joint Property Owners Association

Joint Property OA is applicable to single or multiple buildings sharing the same common areas.

AICOA

This is the main OA which is an association that comprises Joint Property OA and villas and houses that share the same common areas; both fall under the AICOA that will be established by the end of September in coordination with the owners in Amwaj Islands and RERA.

The AICOA is responsible for managing and maintaining the harmonious lifestyle promised to the owners of the properties on the islands by keeping the islands in excellent shape, and managing and maintaining the common areas and infrastructure. It is also to ensure that all owners’ rights are protected and their obligations towards living in Amwaj Islands are fulfilled.

Both types of OAs are mandatory and automatically apply to all Amwaj Islands’ residents as per the law of RERA Bahrain.

The AICOA will be created in coordination with RERA, whereas an announcement for a General Assembly Meeting for all the owners will be issued by September 2019. Our Marketing team are already working on the launch of a campaign encouraging the owners to form their own associations within their buildings (where applicable) and to register their associations with RERA Bahrain.

To register as part of the AICOA, the Chairman of an established Joint Property or a building owner or in the case of villa or house owners, will need to submit their contact details to the Amwaj Management Office – OA Office, on the ground floor of Meritas House.

Take action now to protect your property investment.
