Rules & Regulations


Amwaj Islands is a peaceful, refreshing community, where people of all cultures and faiths can live together in close harmony. We do have a few safety and security regulations that we ask all residents to abide by, but our overall principle is one of common sense and decency. Please be mindful of your fellow residents at all times, and treat others how you would like to be treated yourself.


Amwaj Islands Safety & Security Regulations:

  • The maximum speed limit everywhere within Amwaj Islands is 50km per hour.
  • Car / bike racing and drifting is strictly forbidden. 
  • Not all motorbikes are not allowed to enter Amwaj Islands, except for residents / delivery / staff working inside Amwaj Islands. Large groups of motorcyclists are not allowed.
  • Allowed motorcyclists must adhere the speed limit at all times and must not ride through residential areas. 
  • Visitors are not allowed to drive through residential areas. They can either visit their relatives / friends or visit the commercial properties.
  • Unregistered / no plate number vehicles / motorbikes are not allowed to enter Amwaj Islands.
  • Always park your vehicle in an assigned parking area. Do not park on the walking pathway or in front of any private property. Do not block any road.
  • Boats / jet skies / trailers are not to be parked on any private land / pavement / road.  
  • Vehicles / motorbikes are not allowed to cross the pavements / walking pathways, or move / stop at any beaches /empty lands / unfinished buildings / working site within Amwaj Islands.
  • Amwaj Islands is private land / property and not an open park or beach. Visitors may not walk / sit / swim anywhere other than designated commercial areas.
  • Swimming is allowed around the island for sea view villas with direct access to the water. Swimming is under your responsibility. 
  • All Amwaj Islands residents can enjoy swimming in Saraya AlBahar beach (the lagoon surrounded by Tala  Islands, Amwaj Homes and Dragon Hotel & Resort) under your responsibility.
  • Fishing is not allowed from any private lands, bridges, commercial properties or from the swimming area in Saraya AlBahar in Amwaj Islands.
  • Boats & jet skies are not allowed within 75 meters of the shoreline.
  • No motorboats or jet skies are allowed in the internal lagoon.   
  • All type of villa / flat rental (daily rental) without official contract is strictly prohibited and will lead to legal actions. 
  • Private activity / parties / gatherings outside Amwaj Islands villas / flats is not allowed.
  • In case of any activity / party / gathering inside your villa / flat, loud music or sounds that disturb your neighbours are not allowed. Parking in front of neighbouring villas is also not allowed. 
  • Pets are to be kept on a leash and under an adult persons control / custody at all the time if it is outside. It is the owner responsibilities to clean up any mess left by their pet.
  • Pets should not be left outside / in the garden if no one is at home. 
  • It is the owner responsibilities to take their dog / other pet inside the house if it is barking / making a lot of noise continuously.  
  • It is the responsibilities of the resident to ensure that his / her visitors will adhere to all the Safety & Security Regulations.
